TTE860 upgrade turbocharger for Audi 2.7l Bi-Turbo (S4/RS4 B5)

The TT860 hybrid turbochargers are a further expansion stage, which are equipped with the new THE investment cast exhaust housings. They are based on original RS4 B5 turbochargers and fit plug and play! Only one change has to be made on the periphery, because the intake with 58mm at the housing entry with O-ring seal requires a modified intake.

For the production of the TTE860 upgrade turbocharger, TTE uses light, milled compressor wheels. They are significantly larger than the series parts, so they convey significantly more air mass and still respond very early. The standard compressor housings are machined with a CNC milling machine so that they can accommodate the new wheel. The compressor inlets measure 58mm on the housing and seal with O-rings.

The larger TTE turbine wheels with 9 vanes can handle significantly more exhaust gas volume compared to "conventional" turbines without generating excessive exhaust gas back pressure.

THE investment cast exhaust housings made of NiResist are a fantastic alternative to the old, often defective original exhaust sides and also have more throughput.

The 360° bearing used ensures a higher resilience. The standard pressure cells of the wastegates are adapted to the new environmental conditions by being equipped with a stronger spring. With the TTE brackets, the spring rate can even be further adjusted by the owner if this is desired or necessary.


The extremely precise balance of each TTE turbocharger is a key element for the longevity, the technical noise behavior and the function, which is why TTE attaches great importance to this process. Each individual component is initially statically balanced in several levels at up to 2800 rpm. The core group is then assembled and balanced dynamically, again on several levels at up to 250,000 rpm. At TTE, this process takes place on a VSR (Vibration Sorting Rig) balancing machine. Each turbocharger is accompanied by a balancing report that you can use the serial number to clearly assign to your TTE charger and that you can trace at any time with which values ​​your turbocharger left the factory.
