TTE880 upgrade turbocharger for Audi 2.7l bi-turbo (S4 / RS4 B5)
The TTE880 hybrid turbochargers are a further expansion stage for the already powerful 6-cylinder from Audi, where more of the vehicle needs to be converted than a charger and a little periphery. They are based on original RS4 B5 turbochargers and fit plug and play! Only 2 changes need to be made to the periphery. 1. Downpipe flange (RS6 C5) 2. Suction 58mm at the housing inlet with O-ring seal.
For the production of the TTE880 upgrade turbochargers, TTE uses light, milled compressor wheels. They are significantly larger than the standard parts, so they convey significantly more air mass and still respond very early. The standard compressor housing is machined with a CNC milling machine so that it can accommodate the new wheel. The compressor inputs measure 58mm on the housing and seal with O-rings.
The larger TTE turbine wheels with 9 blades can handle significantly more exhaust gas volume compared to "conventional" turbines without generating too high exhaust gas back pressure.
The 360 ° bearing used ensures a higher load capacity. The standard pressure cells of the wastegates are adapted to the new environmental conditions by equipping them with a stronger spring. Thanks to the TTE brackets, the spring rate can even be further adjusted by the owner, if this is desired or necessary.
The extremely precise balance of every TTE turbocharger is a key element for longevity, technical noise behavior and function, which is why TTE attaches great importance to this process. Each individual component is initially statically balanced at up to 2800 rpm in several levels. The trunk group is then assembled and dynamically balanced again in several levels at up to 250,000 rpm. At TTE, this process takes place on a VSR (Vibration Sorting Rig) balancing machine, each turbocharger is supplied with a balancing protocol that you can clearly assign to your TTE charger using the serial number and which you can always see with which values your turbocharger left the factory.

The name of the turbocharger also indicates the maximum performance! As an example, a TTE350 creates approx. 350 HP and a TTE350 + a little more. Often, however, further modifications to the environment, i.e. engine, intake, AGA, etc. are necessary in order to achieve this performance target.
